Podcast S1 Ep6: The No Surprise Act and the 21st Century Cures Act
Welcome to the Eva Podcast where we discuss all things Health Information Technology (HIT) in relationship to running an independent out-patient medical practice. We also discuss the technological solutions we’ve created at EvaHealth to help support independent medical practices across the country. EvaHealth is a company focused on reimagining healthcare with better technological solutions that help medical practices and their patients thrive.
On today’s episode ‘The No Surprise Act and the 21st Century Cures Act’ we explore these two federal regulations with Dr.J and how they transform patient care. The “Cures Act” requires healthcare providers give patients access to all of the health information in their electronic medical records. The No Surprises Act included patient protections against large medical bills and now requires price transparency.
Both the 21st Century Cures Act and the No Surprises Act make sense. To provide complete patient centric care we must not only include the patient, but empower the patient in their health care journey with full access to all their health information. Eva is an open notes platform with full patient transparency. This means Eva meets both federal regulations and more. A fully open notes and billing system is the way of the future, and Eva is already there.
